Total Avantgarde's HDA trainers are CAAM-authorised career offshore helicopter pilots with over 20 years of offshore aviation experience, supporting thousands of offshore flight movements across the oil & gas, marine, and aviation sectors. Their extensive operational background includes helideck operations, offshore logistics, emergency response, and helicopter safety management in demanding offshore environments.
Having accumulated thousands of offshore flying hours and participated in countless helideck operations and emergency exercises, our trainers bring practical, real-world knowledge that extends far beyond the classroom.
As CAAM-authorised trainers, they continue to maintain industry currency through active engagement in offshore aviation operations and international aviation development programmes. This ensures every HDA course delivered by Total Avantgarde reflects current industry practices, regulatory requirements, and operational realities.
By training with Total Avantgarde, participants learn directly from experienced offshore aviation professionals who have spent decades managing the same operational and safety challenges faced by today's Helideck Assistants (HDAs).
