About Helideck Standard Course

Total Avantgarde’s Helicopter Standard Course (HSC) training is CAAM-authorised, which focuses on the regulatory, technical, and operational requirements of offshore helidecks. Training is conducted through discussion-driven modules in accordance with CAAM standards using real offshore case studies, helideck models, and tools to further understand the applications of the offshore helideck requirements.


Participants will learn how to:

  • Understand CAAM regulatory requirements for offshore helidecks
  • Assess helideck physical requirements
  • Evaluate helicopter performance, landing areas, and obstacle limitations
  • Verify compliance with firefighting, rescue, and safety equipment standards
  • Understand operational safety, hazard controls, and risk factors
  • Prepare documentation for audits, inspections, and competency assessments

Participants receive a certificate of attendance upon successfully completing the course.
